PH.D. PROGRAMME XXIV th CYCLE NOTICE FOR CANDIDATES WITH FOREIGN DEGREES

Applicants for the Ph.D Programme should have a Master’s Degree
(”Laurea Magistrale”), Italian Degree according to the Old Order of
studies or a similar academic degree granted from abroad and
recognized by academic authorities at the time, but which might not
be officially recognized as being “equivalent”.

In order to obtain
recognition of equivalence for purposes of this application the
candidate should request it in his/her application for the Ph.D
Programme and include the documents needed so the Admission
Commission is able to recognize the equivalence of the degree (the
documents must be translated and legalized and handed in with the
degree’s “Statement of Equal Value” issued by the Italian Diplomatic
or Consular Missions abroad charged with these duties according to
current laws).

Applicants who are not able to present the “Statement of Equal Value”
before the deadline can also be accepted into the Ph.D Programme on a
provisional basis. In this case they must contact the following
office: Ufficio Dottorati di Ricerca – Ricerca e Didattica – Viale
Romania, 32 (ricerca@luiss.it) before the deadline in order to be
advised on how to present their application for the Ph.D Programme.
